House Warming Gift Basket Ideas

Is the housing market crazy by you too? Even with it being a seller’s market, I have two friends that just made home purchases. I could not be more excited for them. Buying a home is a big deal and I wanted them to know how happy I was for them.

I put together this gift basket to help bless and warm their new home. The idea actually comes from the movie, It’s a Wonderful Life. In one scene, the main characters, George and Mary Bailey, give a special house warming gift of bread, wine and salt to Mr. Martini after he purchases his home.

I simply love this idea but wanted to add my own twist to it by incorporating a few more items. I purchased most of the items from Target but if you have a local farmer’s market or downtown shops near the new home owners, this could make for an added touch.

I started by lining the basket with a dish towel and printed these labels. You can get these from my shop HERE. I used white card stock paper for printing
