My son recently celebrated his second birthday. Being a little boy, he is obsessed with all things trucks. I decided to have a construction site themed party and wanted to make his cake by myself.
This construction themed cake was so much easier than I expected. The cake was made from a store bought cake mix, 2 round cake pans, store bought chocolate frosting, and Oreo cookies.
I added these cute trucks to the cake which, once cleaned, became a new set of toys for my son.

Cake 2 round chocolate cakes and add chocolate frosting.
Remove white frosting from Oreos, add to a Ziplock bag and smash with a rolling pin.
Trace a number on the top of the cake and sprinkle the cookie crumbs around the number and side.
I moved the cake to a wooden board and added construction trucks, placing the bulldozer in the front of the number so it looks like this truck carved the number.
We finished off the party with these cute table decorations and plates.
